pay rate: $23.84 - $29.80 per hour; position includes paid benefit time and enrollment in IMRF pension plan.
hours: 37.50 hours per week - Day, Evening, and Weekend Hours including a Sunday shift in rotation. (Sunday hours are paid at time and a half)

In this role, you’ll develop engaging programs, provide reader’s advisory and information services, and collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to support literacy and lifelong learning. job duties:
Plan, promote, and lead library programs for children and families.
Serves as the library’s liaison to local schools, promoting resources and services.
Provide reader’s advisory, reference, and educational support in person and online.
Develop and maintain youth collections and classroom support materials.
Build strong relationships with schools, teachers, and community organizations.
Assist with staff training, planning, and departmental initiatives.
Create displays, bibliographies, and outreach materials to encourage library use.
Represent the department at library and community events as needed.
education and experience: Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited school or substantial steps toward completion of degree and equivalent experience.
