Street Fest is a high-energy concert drawing from the group’s street and concert festival experience. It includes music by Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Steely Dan, and John Lennon & Paul McCartney, as well as Flippo originals. Jazz from Planet Flippo presents a wide palette of sounds and grooves full of original arrangements and compositions. Pianist Dave Flippo adds his vocals and melodica to the band's instrumentation, which includes bass, drums, saxophone, and flute. The ensemble has performed throughout the Chicago area at festivals, colleges, libraries, museums, street and concert fests, and area clubs and restaurants since 1992.
