Relaxation ROCKS!

Time  Ends each day an hour before closing

Details  Recharge this summer with the calming art of rock painting. We’ll provide an assortment of acrylic markers for you to personalize your unique rock with your own creative design, inspiring word, or uplifting phrase. All supplies will be provided.

No registration necessary.

Trivia Under the Stars

Time  Mondays at 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Dates  June 16, July 21, & August 18

Details  Tap into your knowledge of music and movie trivia while enjoying the fresh air. Bring your own chair and join us on the library’s east lawn. Earn candy and popcorn as prizes.

Reading Challenges

Get ready to read and win. Reading challenges are open to readers in 9th grade and up. Any reader from PreK to 8th grade can join Youth Reading Challenges.

Summer Reading Challenge 2025

Dates  June 4 - August 17

Details  You are invited to Slow Down and Read with us this summer. Stop by the Readers Services Desk to get started. When you sign up you will receive a reading log, a themed notepad, and a spin on the prize wheel!

Summer Reading Beach Party Kickoff

Time  6:00-8:00 p.m.

Details  We’re throwing a relaxing beach party to celebrate the kickoff of Summer Reading, and you’re invited! Come and sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge: Slow Down & Read to get started on a summer of reading fun. We will have beach-themed activities, entertainment, and FREE ice cream. Rain or shine. Teen Craft Kits

New seasonal craft kits are available every month for Rolling Meadows residents ages 13+. Pick up at the Readers Services Desk beginning the first of every month.

The crafts can be enjoyed at home or in the library using supplies from the Art Cart. You’ll find directions, resources, and basic materials in each kit. Advanced crafters are encouraged to use materials they have at home to take them even further.
